The Digital One Health Laboratory is based at The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh, led by Chancellor’s Fellow Dr Adrian Muwonge.
Basic research: Our basic science research focuses on the drivers for emergence and transmission of AMR with a special focus on dynamics at the human and animal interface.
Training: Our our post graduate training equips early career researchers with skills to generate and use evidence to support AMR National action plans.

DOH Bioinformatics Workshop: Using Nanopore for AMR genotyping Participants from the Central Public Health Laboratories and the Ministry of Water and Environment, Uganda participating in the workshop to learn about the bioinformatics pipelines to determine resistance genotypes from Nanopore whole genome sequencing data. RBC and iGiTree’s visit to Edinburgh Clarisse Musanabaganwa, Gashegu Misbah from Rwanda Biomedical Centre and Deexon Muhizi from iGiTree Rwanda visiting the DOH lab in Edinburgh which included a visit to the Institute for Cancer and Genetics, Ashworth Laboratories and the Roslin Institute.
